A drive system matched to your door — across Niceville, Valparaiso, Bluewater Bay, Crestview, Shalimar, Cinco Bayou.
We install a garage door opener matched to your door's balance, weight, and garage layout. Before choosing a unit, we check that the door moves freely by hand. An opener replaces manual effort, while the springs carry the door's weight, so a door that binds or feels heavy needs repair before any opener goes on.
You can choose a chain drive, a belt drive, or a wall-mounted jackshaft. Belt drives run quieter, which helps when a room sits above the garage. A jackshaft mounts beside the door and turns the torsion shaft, so it clears the ceiling but works only with torsion-spring doors. Horsepower describes motor strength; it does not make up for an unbalanced door. Rolling-code remotes change the access code with each use, and some models also offer battery backup or Wi-Fi control.
Our crew mounts the rail and header bracket, or installs a compatible jackshaft unit, then connects the photo eyes and wall control. Photo eyes use a light beam to detect an obstruction and mount no higher than six inches above the floor. We set travel and force limits, check the red emergency release handle, and test the reversal features required under UL 325 entrapment protection. We carry common mounting hardware, photo eyes, wall controls, and remotes for typical installation needs.
An opener is only as sound as the door under it. DASMA's inspection checklist asks for a door that stays put when lifted to 3 to 4 feet by hand, a red release handle within reach, and a grounded or GFCI outlet within cord length of the opener. With about 73 inches of rain a year in NOAA's 1991 to 2020 normals for our nearest station, we also look for water staining and rust at the hinges, brackets and bottom seal before we mount a unit.
We apply the lubricant the door maker recommends to moving parts, check the outlet and the cord run, and test the reversing system so the door responds properly if it meets an obstruction.

A person answers your call and asks about the door, opener, and symptoms. We arrange a visit to inspect the setup and discuss suitable options.
We check door balance, hardware, mounting space, and safety devices. Before work starts, we give you the exact quote for the installation.
We mount the opener, connect the photo eyes and wall control, and set travel and force limits. We also check the emergency release and set up the included controls.
We verify the door’s balance and confirm that its safety reversal responds properly. We inspect the photo eyes and demonstrate how to use the opener and emergency release.
Starting prices. A door has two lift cables and one or two springs; the exact price depends on the door, the hardware grade and how many parts are replaced, and is confirmed on site before any work starts.
